Privacy Policy

At Presentify ("we," "our," or "us"), we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains our data collection, processing, and storage practices for the Presentify: Figma to PDF Exporter Figma plugin (the "Plugin") and its associated backend service.

Because our Plugin processes Figma slide designs into high-quality PDFs, we process user-submitted design data temporarily. We hold ourselves to the highest standards of data security, transparency, and data minimization.

1. Zero Personal Information (PII) Collected

We do not collect, request, or store any personal or identifying information about you.

  • No Accounts: You do not need to register, create an account, or log in to use the Plugin.
  • No Identity Association: We do not collect your name, email address, physical address, phone number, Figma username, or Figma account credentials.
  • No Trackers/Cookies: The Plugin and backend service do not use any marketing cookies, tracking scripts, or analytics SDKs to build profiles of our users.

2. What Data is Processed (Data Minimization)

To perform its core function of exporting your slides/frames into highly optimized PDF documents, the Plugin must process design elements from your active Figma workspace. The data processed is limited strictly to:

  • Figma Frame Contents: Image renders of the selected Figma frames/slides.
  • Vector & Text Data: Positional coordinates, font layouts, hyperlinked vectors, and text content (to preserve searchable text and clickable links in the resulting PDF).
  • Document Metadata: The active Figma document name and page name (to generate a matching PDF filename).

3. Data Transfer & Processing (Secure in Transit)

When you click "Export" inside the Plugin:

  1. The selected frame images and vector layout data are packaged securely inside the Plugin.
  2. The packages are sent to our secure processing server over HTTPS (TLS 1.3 encryption), preventing interception by third parties.
  3. Our backend server compresses the images and compiles the elements into a high-fidelity, searchable PDF document.

4. 24-Hour Automatic Retention and Deletion Policy (Secure at Rest)

We enforce a strict data-minimization lifecycle for all files processed by our servers:

  • Temporary Workspaces: Any intermediate assets, frames, or manifest data uploaded during an active export job are isolated in secure, temporary storage.
  • Auto-Deletion of Jobs: Abandoned or unfinished export jobs are automatically and permanently purged from our servers within 1 hour.
  • Auto-Deletion of Finalized PDFs: The final compiled PDF document is temporarily stored in our cloud workspace (either local filesystem or secure Cloudflare R2 bucket) strictly to allow you to download it.
  • 24-Hour Purge Guarantee: Both completed PDFs and any lingering intermediate assets are programmatically and permanently deleted from our storage servers exactly 24 hours (1 day) after the job is completed.
  • No Backups: We do not create or maintain persistent backups of your exported PDF files or design structures.

5. Sharing of Data with Third Parties

We do not sell, trade, rent, lease, or share your designs or processed PDF files with any third parties.

  • Cloud Infrastructure: Your files are processed using secure cloud service providers (such as Cloudflare or server hosting environments) under strict access controls.
  • No External APIs: We do not send your data to any external artificial intelligence models, data brokers, or advertising networks.

6. Data Security

We implement robust technical and administrative security measures to protect your design data:

  • Encryption in Transit: All communications between the Figma plugin and our backend are encrypted via secure HTTP (HTTPS/TLS).
  • Isolated Storage: Uploaded frames and jobs are assigned randomized, cryptographically secure tokens (base64url format) so that no unauthorized entity can guess or access your export workspace.
  • Programmatic Purging: Our server executes a programmatic background cleanup task every hour to sweep and permanently delete all data older than 24 hours.

7. Compliance with Global Regulations (GDPR & CCPA)

Because we do not collect personal data or maintain user accounts, we do not store databases containing your personal identifier records.

  • Right to Erasure: Since all export files are completely and permanently deleted within 24 hours of generation, your data is erased automatically without requiring a manual deletion request.
  • No User Profiles: We maintain no profiles or behavioral records, ensuring full privacy by design.

8. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The "Effective Date" at the top of the policy will be updated accordingly.
